On Sunday, February 6, 2011 (Super Bowl Sunday), LOVEshared will be offering a free lunch from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the community in and around the Galena Park, TX area that are in need.

We will also have an OPEN CLOSET event allowing for those in need to receive both food and clothing.

We need volunteers to bring pots of their special homeade soups. (Caldo de Res, Caldo de Pollo, Beef stew, Chicken Noodle, Posole or any other soup recipe you have in mind!)

We also need donations of secondhand clothing in good condition.

We will need volunteers to help us sort through clothes, serve soup and clean up afterward.

If you cannot come out to the soup event, we are also asking that you participate in your own communities’ Souperbowl of Caring event by purchasing food at your local grocery store and donating it to your local Food Bank! Go to http://www.souperbowl.org/ for more information.
